It would be an understatement to type that E enjoys watching American crime series (his top three favourites are this, this and this). In Spanish. Sometimes he changes the language for my benefit. I watch them either drowsily or spooked. It's one or the other and there is no in between.
I complain about the bad voice acting i.e. Spanish dubbing when I'm awake, in between clutching at E's arm or diving to cover my face with a pillow. E disagrees with me and thinks the Spanish voice overs are so much better than their original ("more authentic and adjusted to the type of person vs. the natural voice which sometimes just don't fit - for example Bruce Willis' more macho I-don't-care-about- anything Spanish voice").
What do I like? Comedies. Sometimes drama- when I'm not sleep deprived and can sit through long dialogues. I hate anything with horror and violence. They are totally pointless in my opinion. (Yeah - I'm just like my mother). I've mentioned before that I'm really enjoying the fabulously fluffy sitcom D-D-D. Well, E, knowing that I won't be zzz-ing or eeiks-ing while watching this, has acquired more of the episodes for our collective enjoyment.
We have been watching quite a few episodes these past days. We are close to finishing Season 2 and I find myself still cheering yay whenever Stacy is on the screen.

Post script: We have now watched all the episodes in Season 3 and can't believe Season 4 has not started. Spoiler alert: I stopped cheering for Stacy and indeed went "oh no!" at her during the last few episodes.
