So, Koala Baby arrived not too long after I last posted here
In mid November. It was not the smooth delivery I had expected: Koala Baby reacted negatively to the oxytocin drug I was administered with. He lurched forward, became stuck, refused to change position and arrived distressed and lacking in oxygen via an emergency C section.
In the meantime, I was also not in a good way having reacted badly to the cocktail of drugs and was disabled and crying in pain for a good few hours after Koala Baby arrived.
E was left to welcome Koala Baby to the world and do the "skin to skin bonding" as advised by the midwife. Koala Baby sniffed him and tried hard to breastfeed from him. Today, more than 2 months afterwards, Koala Baby often becomes hungry when he smells his Papi.
