We were delighted to have so many good friends and family members join us on the special day - a number of them flying in from dfferent continents. The atmosphere was lovely and joyous and we really enjoyed ourselves. C, who was our photographer in Denmark, when we signed the deed, agreed to join us. A stroke of good luck as we love her work and knew she would capture the day perfectly.
I love the fact that we were still able to share some private moments together during the 11 hours of party.
I had hand sewn these bunting flags. It took me a few days and eventually inspired the butterfly theme for the party.
I found a baker not far from we lived who specialised in making delicious cakes using top quality ingredients. I was excited to see how my request of having the four of us (including babytis) on the cake would turn out. Heh.
We had a lot of help from close friends and family members to decorate the Auberge. It was all done on the night before and the morning of the party itself. Nail biting. But all turned out well.
I abstained myself from the drinks (comforting myself that I had indulged during our tasting sessions earlier this year before becoming pregnant). It was not easy but had to be done. I did however have 1 small glass of bubbly after we cut the cake.
