I brought home a bottle of instant tom yam paste from the supermarket for our dinner.
Google translator helped me to work out the german instructions but did not stop me from pouring too much water into the pot. The result was a super diluted vege tom-yam soup like no other.
I added what I thought was salt (I seem to be more clumsy and ditsy these days - E came home and pointed out it was something else) and later, took on E's suggestion to add beef stock and curry powder for taste, alongside with some real salt.
The concoction now looks like tom-yam but taste spicy and sweet (we think it's because of the onion powder I used as salt). I am too disappointed to eat but E is enjoying his 3rd bowl of spicy and sweet veg soup garnished with some premium olive oil.
